Holiday home with pool
near Rome.
A villa surrounded by the green Tuscia countryside: Rome one hour away by car or 45 minutes by train from Orte, and the silence of the countryside instead of the traffic in the evening.
Rome by day.
Pool in the evening.
The most relaxing way to visit Rome is not to sleep there. From Villa Vacanze Valentina, Orte station is 10 minutes away: the fast regional trains reach Termini in 45-50 minutes, dozens of departures a day, and in the evening you come back to the cool of the countryside — no restricted-traffic zones, no impossible parking, no city heat.
And on the days without Rome, you are already in the heart of Tuscia: Bomarzo, Viterbo, Civita di Bagnoregio, Orvieto. On the blog you will find our "Rome in a day" guide, with verified times and tickets.

How far is the holiday home from Rome?
One hour by car: the villa is in Bassano in Teverina, in the Viterbo countryside of Tuscia, 15 minutes from the Orte A1 motorway exit. Alternatively, Orte station is 10 minutes away, with fast regional trains reaching Roma Termini in 45-50 minutes.
Is it better to go to Rome by train or by car?
By train: from Orte the fast regional trains reach Termini in 45-50 minutes, with dozens of departures a day at around 5-6 € each way, and station parking costs just a few euros. Central Rome is a restricted-traffic zone with electronic gates: leave the car with us.
Why stay outside Rome rather than in the city?
Because in the evening, instead of the traffic, you have the pool and the silence of the countryside — at a fraction of the price of a Roman place with outdoor space. It is the most relaxing way to visit Rome: our "Rome in a day" guide sets out the tried-and-tested itinerary.
Is the pool included in the stay?
Yes. The outdoor pool, the 3,000 m² garden, the gazebos and the barbecue are available to all guests of the villa, at no extra cost.
